African Producer Development

Over the past five years, Pace has been retained by African Development Foundation, a US government corporation, and USAID to develop African producers to export level. This work has led to the creation of thousands of income producing jobs in a number of African countries.

The product lines range from artisan producer crafts using indigenous skills and materials for decorative home categories to footwear manufacturing.

The goal of this mission is poverty alleviation by mentoring African producers and graduating them to become self sustaining exporters. A steady stream of reliable work will forever change the lifestyles of tens of thousands of Africans. Prior boom and bust cycles historically have forced African artisans to alternate between home, farming and manufacturing. These start-stop-start cycles are inefficient and costly.

In the US we are involved with securing orders from major US retailers.
