Needs Assessment

Pace starts with a 1-3 day Needs Assessment. Pace meets with you on your premises. This is a highly structured process whereby Pace gains a thorough understanding of your company. We learn about upper management, corporate goals, strengths and limitations. Company and personal goals are identified. Depending on the scope of the engagement, district, store management and contact staff can be evaluated. Competition and markets are analyzed. These studies are followed by an interactive recap session with management that provides additional insights. Often, our findings indicate a need for repositioning . At the conclusion, the extent of engagement is discussed. We learn quickly and achieve in-depth understanding.

Immediately following this visit, Pace will send a report detailing all of its findings and recommendations. Issues are prioritized and a timeline is suggested. If management agrees with the report, work can begin immediately. Management may elect to postpone certain items or may wish to change priorities. The overall plan is determined and budgets are established. While Pace will make recommendations and take strong positions based on its experience, management is always in control.

During a Pace engagement, our process is dynamic and new issues often emerge during execution. In our experience, more often than not, the scope of engagement increases to new areas and many Pace solutions are implemented in processes not identified in the original assessment.

Engagement

Pace only enters into an engagement in which it is certain that the client will benefit far above any costs incurred. If in our view this is not the case, the prospective client is so informed and alternative solutions are recommended. Above all, we are flexible and sensitive to clients' needs. Pace seeks only win-win situations. Pace engagements are can be canceled at any time with 30 days notice.

Retailers are able to visit others that have implemented these solutions and witness them in an actual retail setting.
