The P.A.C.E. Program

The P.A.C.E. Program is a Student Success Initiative directed towards supporting Walpole Island First Nation students who are experiencing various difficulties that affect their success throughout the school year. The P.A.C.E Program currently operates at Wallaceburg District Secondary School and  BKEJWANONG KINOMAAGEWGAMIG school on Walpole Island.  This program is made possible in part due to a partnerships with Walpole Island First Nation and the Lambton Kent District School Board. Funding for this program is currently provided by Jordan's Principle.

The P.A.C.E. Program offers students the following supports:

  • Short Term Support Counselling

  • Self-Esteem Building

  • Motivation/Empowerment

  • Mental Health Breaks

  • Conflict Resolution

  • Mediation/Advocacy

  • Social Skills/Life Skills

  • Redirection Crisis Support

  • Behaviour Modification

  • Case Management & Referrals

The P.A.C.E. Program will refer to outside agencies for support as well.  These include:

  • Diversion Programs

  • 2SLGBTQ Support Services

  • First Nations Support Services

  • Health Care Professionals

  • Mental Health Services

  • Addiction Services
